This is a timeline of events in Amphibia. While the series' main events take place from mid 2019 to early 2020, the current timeline is set in 2029.

1019 CE or before	King Aldrich and his ancestors uses the Calamity Box with the gems to travel to other worlds, in order to conquer as well as extract resources from them. Aldrich plans to invade the Earth with the help of the Core, and killing the entire human race to mine the planet for its resources.	"True Colors"
	Leif, one of Andrias' friends, has an apocalyptic vision of Amphibia's future by using the Calamity Box to conquer other worlds, so she decides to steal the box in order to protect Amphibia and goes with Mother Olm for help.	"True Colors" "The Core & The King"
	Barrel is expelled from Newtopia and reassigned to outskirts by his now former friend Andrias for failing to capture Leif. He would later end up dying while saving a village from a beast.	"Barrel's Warhammer" "The Core & The King"
	Because of the theft of the box, Aldrich and Core's plans to invade Earth are frustrated, but they inform Andrias about the Olm prophecy that stipulated the box would return to Amphibia in 1000 years, leading Andrias to wait the next 1000 years for the box.	"The Core & The King"
	Leif teleports with the help of the box to Earth, where she leaves it to prevent her vision from becoming a reality, leaving a vase to guide three chosen ones to save Amphibia with Mother Olm. She later returned to Amphibia, where she started a new life; she was a founder member of Wartwood Swamp, where she met a farmer whom she married and raised a family, which she saw grow up before the years. Before her death, Leif wrote a letter to Andrias, wishing one day he would read it.	"The Core & The King" "All In"

Prior 2000s	Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy meet and later end up getting married. At some point they end up settling in Los Angeles, California, US, from Bangkok, Thailand.	"The New Normal"

	Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy prepare a birthday party for Anne, scheduled for 6:00pm Pacific Daylight Time.
May 21–June 20, 2019 (1:00pm PDT)	At the start of their science class, Sasha convinces Anne to sneak out of school to recklessly celebrate the latter's birthday.
May 21–June 20, 2019 (~5:30pm PDT)	After school, Marcy finds a book at the Los Angeles Public Library about the Calamity Box and its powers, before her father tells her to come home for something important. At home, she learns that her family will have to move to Hopkinton, Massachusetts because of her father's new job, and she would have to separate from Anne and Sasha. Afraid that she would lose the only friends she would ever have in her life, she proceeds to run away from home.	"True Colors"
May 21–June 20, 2019 (5:45pm PDT)	Sasha ends her celebration of Anne's birthday at Money Coffee, a coffee shop.	"Reunion"
	When she stops running to catch her breath, Marcy arrives at the Thrift Stop and finds the same box as depicted in the book. She takes a picture of the box and forwards it to Sasha, framing it as "the perfect birthday present for Anne."	"True Colors"
May 21–June 20, 2019 (~5:46–5:53pm PDT)	After receiving the message from Marcy about the box, Sasha successfully coerces Anne into missing the latter's birthday party (and, by extension, separates her from her parents).	"Reunion"

May 21–June 20, 2019 (~9:23pm PDT)	After around three hours of celebratory activities, Anne, Sasha and Marcy return to the playground where the friend group was first formed to investigate the box. Anne and Sasha start to have doubts about its use/purpose, resulting in Marcy, afraid of squandering the chance of being with her friends forever, coercing the other two into agreeing to open the box (without telling them about the box's potential capability of transporting users to other worlds). They eventually decide that the one to open it would be Anne, who does so with Sasha and Marcy by her side and teleports them to the world of Amphibia. At the same time, the energy from the box travels across town to the portal equipment in a laboratory at Dr. Frakes' Brainasium, which causes Dr. Frakes to lose her Skip Man. May 21–June 20, 2019	In Amphibia, Anne ends up deep in Wartwood where she takes refuge in a cave, Sasha in the Toad Tower where she is captured by Captain Grime and his Toad Army, and Marcy in Newtopia where she meets King Andrias and quickly gains his trust, becoming the Chief Ranger of the Newtopian Nightguard. Early-June/early-July 2019	Wally Ribbiton has an encounter with Anne in the forest, mistaking her for a beast and causing the town to hunt her down. Sprig goes ahead of the citizens and ends up meeting Anne, whom he befriends and decides together with Hop Pop and Polly to take her to the Plantar Farm.	"Anne or Beast?"
	In an attempt to reduce Anne's homesickness, Sprig volunteers to be Anne's best friend; and, they sneak out to swim at a lake. Meanwhile, upon discovering Anne's missing shoe, Grime believes his prisoner, Sasha, is lying.	"Best Fronds"
	Anne breaks the Plantar family cane while doing an impression of Hop Pop and, together with Sprig and Polly, seeks out to find a replacement. Although she fails her mission, Hop Pop says that Anne can stay as long as she treats him respectfully.	"Cane Crazy"
Early-June/July to mid-June/July 2019	When river lampreys flood the Plantar Farm's basement, Anne sleeps in Sprig's room for ten days. When the flooding stops, Anne sleeps on the living room couch.	"Flood, Sweat & Tears"

Late-October/mid-November 2019	Andrias reveals to the girls and to everyone in Amphibia his "true colors", and breaks out a war in Amphibia, eventually destroying all natural resources. Anne returns to Earth together with the Plantars, when they are teleported through the music box to escape from King Andrias. Marcy is stabbed by Andrias for helping Anne escape, but Andrias orders Lady Olivia and General Yunan to take her to a rejuvenation tank to keep her alive. Sasha and Grime escape from Andrias and go to Wartwood, where they end up forming the Wartwood Resistance against Andrias. Late-April/May 2020	Immediately before Andrias's invasion begins, Anne successfully persuades the frogs, toads and newts of the Wartwood Resistance to unite.	"The Three Armies"
	The resistance starts their war against Andrias' troops, however, they end up losing when Anne and Sasha are captured by Darcy while trying to rescue Marcy.	"The Beginning of the End"

	Anne sacrifices herself to eliminate the Core. She is resurrected by the Guardian for her selflessness and is given three shards of the gems to allow her, Sasha and Marcy to return to Earth.	"The Hardest Thing"

Late-April/May to late-May/mid-June 2020	Marcy undergoes medical attention for her injuries and psychotherapy to resolve any remaining psychological issues. Marcy also hangs out with Anne and Sasha as much as she can, during which she learns to bond with them more with common interests than personal interests.
Late-May/mid-June 2020	Marcy and her parents leave Los Angeles, California for Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
September 2020	After Marcy's move, Anne and Sasha continued to hang out often at first, but the outings would eventually decrease until both would eventually end up in different school groups, but they would still keep in touch, including with Marcy, who visits them whenever she can. Late-January/February 2021	Amphibia begins to recover from industrialization by Andrias and Core, as the former helped recover the damage. A new Amphibia government is created. Wartwood builds a statue in Anne's honor.

2019-2020	While gathering ingredients for dinner, Anne and the Plantars meet in the forest another human girl named Luz Noceda, and a witch named Edalyn Clawthorne, teleported from the Demon Realm. Anne and Luz are happy to meet and at the same time to see another human after several months. Eda, seeing the portal closing and not wanting to be trapped in Amphibia, drags Luz into the portal and they return to the Demon Realm, to the sadness of both Anne and Luz. Trivia

• Matt Braly stated to one of his Reddit fans about the timeline and said: "I'm going to say it takes place in the year that it aired so 2019." Multiple references have thus been made to its canon year:
  • In "Fort in the Road", Anne says that she is not from the 1990s (she was born in 2006).
  • "The New Normal" includes a nod to United States senator Bernie Sanders's 2020 presidential campaign, which lasted from February 19, 2019 to April 8, 2020.
  • The song "As If It's Your Last" (which released on June 22, 2017) plays during the opening flashback in "All In".
    • However, the only specific dates known are those of "Froggy Little Christmas", which take place from December 21–24, 2019.
• Although "The Shut-In!" isn't canon for the main timeline, Matt Braly said that if the episode was canon though, he thinks that it would take place after the events of "Return to Wartwood".
• In "The Hardest Thing", the Guardian states that they will wait for Anne to take their place after 78 more years, implying that Anne will die in either 2097 or 2098 at the age of 91.
  • In the same episode, it is stated that Anne's 23rd birthday commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the Frog-vasion. However, as clarified in entry 128 of Marcy's Journal: A Guide to Amphibia, the Frog-vasion actually took place "a few weeks" before Anne's birthday.
