The Second Temple is one of the three locations needed to recharge the gems on the Calamity Box, in this case the blue gem. It is located somewhere in Amphibian Arctic, a land surrounded by snowy mountains and guarded by the mysterious newt, Valeriana.
Background[]
Anne, the Plantars, and Marcy reach the Amphibian Arctic by Joe Sparrow to find the second temple to charge the stone, running into Valeriana once again. She tells them that she's part of an ancient order who studied and protected the temples, and only she can lead them to the temple. After moments where Anne tries to save her family and strangers, Valeriana decides they are unworthy and leaves them. Anne back-talks her and insults her order. Valeriana then takes Anne to the Temple, where she fights Anne and calls out the bad choices she made, including stealing the Calamity Box. She almost falls to her death, but Anne saves her and takes responsibility for her choices. Valeriana then tells Anne that the choices she made on the trip are trials to prove her worth, and is found worthy. Valeriana charges the stone, but Anne hears her friends screaming, thinking they're in trouble, and takes the stone before it can be fully charged and asks Valeriana to send her back. Anne finds them, but they were fine and were watching cute animal videos. They then head back home, with the stone not fully charged.
The gem not getting fully charged allows Anne to retain her connection with it, and she absorbs a large amount of magic from the gem which grants her heart-based superpowers, but after using her powers to very high efforts and for a certain amount of time, Anne powers down. Later, Anne's powers become stronger as she gains control over them and when she drains the blue gem again, with Valerina's help, Anne's powers grow stronger than ever, before she uses them to destroy the Core once and for all.

- Unlike the other two temples, this temple is not a building, as it is an environment surrounded with trials for someone who bears the power of the Calamity Gem of Heart, and the temple can only become visible to the person once they pass all of the trials.
