Trivia
- This season features two pairs of consecutive full-length episodes, "Froggy Little Christmas" with "Escape to Amphibia" and "All In" with "The Hardest Thing".
- This is the only season to air consecutive full-length episodes.
- This season has the most episodes with special credits sequences, these being "Spider-Sprig"/"Olivia & Yunan", "Froggy Little Christmas", "The Root of Evil"/"The Core & The King", "The Three Armies"/"The Beginning of the End", "All In", and "The Hardest Thing".
- Of these:
- "Spider-Sprig"/"Olivia & Yunan" is the only episode to use the standard opening sequence.
- Only the sequences in "All In" and "The Hardest Thing" play renditions of "Anne's Theme".
- Additionally, these are the only third season credits sequences to credit Haley Tju.
- Of these:
- Almost all of this season's episodes premiered immediately after the premiere of an episode of another Disney Television Animation series (The Ghost and Molly McGee for Season 3a and The Owl House for Season 3b).
- The only exceptions were "All In" and "The Hardest Thing", which premiered in primetime ten-and-a-half hours after "Labyrinth Runners" and "O Titan, Where Art Thou", the episodes of The Owl House which premiered on those respective days.
- Only four episodes in the season's second half use the standard opening sequence, these being "Commander Anne"/"Sprivy", "Sasha's Angels"/"Olm Town Road", "Mother of Olms"/"Grime's Pupil" and "Newts in Tights"/"Fight or Flight".
- "Froggy Little Christmas" takes place specifically on December 25th, 2019,[44] meaning that subsequent episodes take place in 2020 AD.
- This is the only season where Amphibia is absent for at least one episode, with "Thai Feud" being the first episode not to feature the location, not counting a flashback in "Hop 'Til You Drop".
Production information
- This season includes a Christmas special titled "Froggy Little Christmas", featuring the song "Our Special Time of Year", written by Steven Universe creator Rebecca Sugar.[1][2]
- Brian Sounalath made his last voice recording for Mr. Boonchuy on March 4, 2022.[45]
- On May 3, 2022, Matt Braly confirmed on Twitter that the production of the season and the series overall had ended, with the final episode being delivered to the network.[6]
- This is the only season to air all of its episodes in production order, as well as the only one to have a different number of half-hours, which is eighteen. Previous seasons had twenty half-hours each.
- A second Halloween special was planned for this season, which according to Matt Braly, would have featured clay animation, but it was cut when the crew was working during the COVID-19 pandemic.[46]
