Principal Murphy is a minor character of Amphibia. She is the principal of Saint James Middle School, who is responsible for the care and maintenance of the facility as well as the safety, well-being, guidance, and discipline of the student body.

Principal Murphy wears a gray formal suit with a small Saint James Middle School (SJMS) logo brooch on the left collar, a light blue shirt underneath, and gray boots. She also wears gold earrings.
Personality[]
As an educator and principal of her school, Murphy is focused on the progress and well-being of her students. She has shown a strong interest in the achievements of her students and a drive for them to progress in the future of their lives, such as concerns about how little effort Anne puts into her things and activities, to which she decided to set her to do an essay on the kind of person she wants to be.

School's PA system hacking[]
One day in 2019, a day before Anne's 13th birthday, while Murphy reminds students through the PA system that the pink powder in the soap dispensers is not candy dust, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy hack the school's PA system to throw a K-Pop party with puppies included. After the system's control is reestablished, Murphy calls the three girls into her office. There she advises Sasha to use her leadership in a positive way and Marcy not to hack the PA system again, however with Anne, she is very concerned about her lack of effort in things and her taking the easy way in all, so she decides to have Anne do an essay on the person she wants to be in her life.[1]
Frog-vasion[]
When King Andrias begins to invade the Earth, Murphy takes refuge in her home with necessary supplements. When she sees the news and realizes that Anne is about to fight Andrias to stop the invasion, she is shocked. When Anne succeeds in defeating Andrias, Murphy celebrates it.[1]

Mrs. Murphy sees a great potential for Anne's future. When Anne, Sasha, and Marcy hack the school's PA system to throw a K-Pop party, she calls them into her office and there, she tells Anne that she is worried about how little effort she is putting into her life, which leads Murphy to put Anne to write an essay about the person she wants to be in her life as an impulse. She also wishes Anne a happy birthday in advance before she leaves her office. After Anne defeats Andrias, Murphy is happy for her victory.
