| (The episode begins hours after Marcy fell down a flight of stairs. Now with a cast on her left leg, she is on the balcony of the castle, accompanied by Lady Olivia.)

(excited) What? Holy moly! It's beautiful!

| Lady Olivia

Once, I said on this very same balcony with my mother and had-- (Marcy interrupts her.)

| Marcy
|
(points) Whoa? Is that a seagull but also a bug?

| Lady Olivia
|
| Marcy
|
Lady Olivia, you newts took me in when I landed here, (she sees her cast) fixed me up, (takes her hands), cared for me. I promise to do my best (with a cute face) and look after this place as well!

| Lady Olivia
|
We'll be counting on you, Master Marcy.

| (Marcy and Lady Olivia look at the scenery.)

| (Back in the present, the surroundings of Newtopia are shown in dire condition from builder robberies. Lady Olivia watches it from the balcony and then sighs. A Frobot approaches to give a message.)

Lady Olivia, you have been summoned by the King.

| Lady Olivia
|
(gulps)

| (Lady Olivia goes to King Andrias's room. She notices that General Yunan is waiting at the door.)

| General Yunan
|
Oh, hey. The King summoned you too? Do you know what this is about?

| Lady Olivia
|
No, and it's been weeks since the Plantars and Anne disappeared and we haven't heard a peep from him since. (approaches the door) I wonder what's keeping him.

| (Lady Olivia opens the door a little so that she and General Yunan observe King Andrias.)

| King Andrias

Please, my lord. Things are progressing as fast as they-- (stops) Yes, I know, but the device hasn't even been tested. Surely we should try it on someone else first? (beat: sighs) As you wish. (Lady Olivia and General Yunan close the door and walk away from him for a moment.)

| (King Andrias opens the door to receive Lady Olivia and General Yunan.)

Aaaah! You two. Come in, Come in. (Lady Olivia and General Yunan enter the room) (chuckles) (opens the curtains) Good news! You're both promoted. (talks to Lady Olivia) Olivia, (turns) you will now oversee the construction of our refineries. It's time to sap this pitiful mud bowl of all its remaining resources. (Lady Olivia makes a face of disagreement as he talks to General Yunan) And Yunan, (points at her) we're gonna need frogs to work in these factories, so go round up some villagers. (approaches them) And if anyone resists... (Lady Olivia and General Yunan gulp) give them a stern talking to.

| General Yunan
|
Not too bad.

| King Andrias
|
Just kidding! Terminate them! (stands up) All right now, get to it! I have business to attend to.
|
| (Lady Olivia and General Yunan prostrate themselves before King Andrias and leave the room. By the time General Yunan closes the door, Lady Olivia is already filled with fury.)

| Lady Olivia
|
(growls) That does it! I made a sacred vow to protect this land, and I cannot continue to stand idly by while King Andrias destroys it.

| General Yunan
|
Lady Olivia! (Lady Olivia gasps) If you're going to talk treason...
|
| (General Yunan takes Lady Olivia and runs into a dark and empty corridor.)

| General Yunan
|
(whispering to her) I insist that you do it in private! (sighs) (lets go and when she turns around, she walks away for a moment) You're dang right he's gone too far and based or whatever we just witnessed, Andrias is losing it. I for one, will not serve a mad king.

| Lady Olivia
|
Agreed. But we can't take him down (looks out a window) alone. We need someone clever, someone who understands strategy, someone like... Marcy Wu.

| General Yunan
|
The human? Absolutely not. In case you haven't noticed, they're all scheming backstabbers.

| Lady Olivia
|
I trust Marcy, besides, she's the only one who's ever defeated King Andrias at Flipwart. If anyone can out-think him, it's her.

| General Yunan
|
(chuckles while scratching her nose) I'm plenty smart! (Her knives come out, but she managed to dodge) Whooa! Did you see that? (chuckles) I nearly took my head off. OK, maybe we do need Marcy.

| Lady Olivia
|
Glad to hear it. (starts leaving)
|
| General Yunan
|
But she's being held under the castle. No one is allowed down there. (whispers) There's even a rumor she's being guarded by a horrible monster.

| Lady Olivia
|
A monster? Don't tell me (touches her) the great General Yunan is scared of some ridiculous rumour.
|
| General Yunan
|
(growls) I (stands up) see what you're doing and it's working. Lead the way, m'lady.
|
| (Lady Olivia guides General Yunan the way. She comes to a hallway guarded by Frog-Bots.)

| Lady Olivia
|
Oh. We'll never get past them.
|
| General Yunan
|
Well not with that attitude, we won't.
|
| Lady Olivia
|
What?
|
| (General Yunan grabs Lady OIivia to the ceiling. She grabs her sword blades and swings above the frog-bots. They made to the end of the room.)

| General Yunan
|
And that's how it's done.

| Lady Olivia
|
Will you put me down already?!
|
| (General Yunan drops Lady Olivia to the floor. They arrived in Marcy's room. Lady Olivia opens a trapdoor that leads them to the basement.)

| General Yunan
|
Ooh! Ominous. After you, m'lady.
|
| (Lady Olivia heads downstairs as General Yunan grabs Marcy's crossbow. Lady Olivia grabs a torch.)

| Lady Olivia
|
Remember.

| General Yunan
|
I know. I know. Get the human and get out. She better be worth it.
|
| (Both of them arrived to a garden room.)

| General Yunan
|
Whoa. You knew this was down here?
|
| Lady Olivia
|
Sort of. Even I was strictly forbidden to come down here, but I did (pets one of the plants) sneak down a few times as a girl.

| (Something roared in the garden room.)

| General Yunan
|
Ah! (takes out her sword blades) What the?!
|
| Lady Olivia
|
Don't worry! It's harmless.
|
| (A Mossman grows a flower on his wrist.)

| Lady Olivia
|
Take it. It's a friendship offering.

| General Yunan
|
Oh. (takes the flower) Why, thank you, I think?

| (While walking down, jellyfish creatures float above them.)

| General Yunan
|
More kooky creatures? What is this place?
|
| Lady Olivia
|
I think it's where our ancestors kept all their other worldly prisoners.
|
| General Yunan
|
Delightful.
|
| (As they head downstairs, Lady Olivia throws the torch in one of the pits.)

| Lady Olivia
|
This is it.

| (General Yunan throws the torch in the pit.)

| Lady Olivia
|
No going back now.

| (They open the door and see Marcy in the rejuvenation tank.)

| Lady Olivia
|
There she is!
|
| (While Lady Olivia and General Yunan are going to get Marcy, a couple of eyes that were closed, open up. Yunan grabs her out of the tank and both of them removed the tubes attached to her outfit. Yunan removes the mask. Marcy coughs and wakes up.)

| Marcy
|
(woozy) Sashy? Anne?
|
| General Yunan
|
She's out of it. Wake up, (slaps Marcy several times) human! (grabs her up) WAKE UP, I SAID!

| Lady Olivia
|
YUNAN! Gentle. Be gentle. (grabs a towel and wraps it around Marcy) Marcy, (gives her a teacup, pulls out a tea kettle and pours some tea) it's Olivia and General Yunan.

| General Yunan
|
There's no time to explain. We have to get out of here!
|
| Marcy
|
(woozy) Okey-dokey! (throws her cup of tea away) Lead the way, Lady Olivia, Captain Yoohoo- (falls to the floor) I'm okay.

| (Lady Olivia and General Yunan pick her up and leaves the room. A vent just opened and steam was hissing out. Eyes were projected at Marcy, Lady Olivia and General Yunan. The eyes flickered and steam was circling around them.)

| General Yunan
|
What the heck is going on?

| (A background of polluted Newtopia projected around them.)

| General Yunan
|
What in newt's name?

| Marcy
|
Whoa, we're outside already?
|
| Lady Olivia
|
It can't be! (gasps)

| (An unknown person walks up towards the trio)

| Lady Olivia
|
Mother?
|
| (Marcy falls to the ground as Lady Olivia sees her mother.)

|
Is that you?

| Lady Olivia's Mother
|
Olivia? The sky, the trees? How could you let this happen?

| Lady Olivia
|
I'm sorry, mother. I did everything I could.

| Lady Olivia's Mother

Well- (emerges as a beast) (in distorted voice) It wasn't ENOUGH!

| (Lady Olivia screams in horror.)

| General Yunan
|
What is this (pulls out her blades) witchcraft?!

| Marcy
|
What? (sees something above that is glitching) Oh, (chuckles) it's a (snaps) projection. You know, like a... (snaps and points General Yunan) VR.

| General Yunan
|
Vrrrrr?
|
| Marcy
|
It's not real, (pats her) you goof. (Another tornado starts spinning again) The room's changing again. Just try not to freak out.
|
| General Yunan
|
(scoffs) Oh, please. Nothing scares the great GENERAL YUNAN! SCOURGE OF THE SANDWARS! DEFEATER OF- (the tornado stops spinning and a creature appears) (freezes) Oh, no.

| Marcy
|
What? It's just a cute little-

| (It cuts to a small grubhog.)
|
| General Yunan
|
(points it) GRUBHOG!!! (The grubhog makes a noise)
|
| Marcy
|
You're afraid of this little cutie?
|
| General Yunan
|
I had a bad experience, OK? When I was a little girl, one of those monsters nearly (A flashback appears of her in which a grubhog bites her right arm. She screams as many children point her) took my arm off.

| (The grubhog mutates into a larger, more monstrous version as 5 more grubhogs emerge in front of Marcy and General Yunan.)

| General Yunan
|
No. No. No. NOOOOO! (the grubhogs chase after her as she screams)
|
| Marcy
|
Wait, come back! It's not real! It's- whoa. (A tornado spins towards Marcy and cuts to a hallway in school) Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. (sees Anne and Sasha)

| Anne
|
(vision; in distorted voice) (turns around and looks at Marcy, looking shocked) How could you, Mar-Mar?
|
| Sasha
|
(vision; in distorted voice) (turns around and looks at Marcy, looking immensely disgusted) You betrayed us.
|
| Marcy
|
NO! I know what I did was (drops to the floor) super dumb. (sobbing) I'm so sorry.
|
| Anne and Sasha
|
(vision; in distorted voice) It's too late. (fuse together and grow as they march toward Marcy) We want NOTHING to do with you EVER AGAIN.
|
| Marcy
|
(cries) No, please.
|
| General Yunan
|
(backs up from the grubhogs) Stay back! Stay- (covers one of the eyes, making a grubhog disappear) (looks into the eye and when she takes her hand out, the grubhog appears again) back? (repeats it over and over again) Oh. These eyes. These eyes are making the nightmare, guys!

| Marcy
|
Eyes? (sees an eye and it hides) That must be where all these things are being projected from! Guys, TAKE OUT THE EYES!
|
| Lady Olivia and General Yunan
|
(shake to regain consciousness) RIGHT!
|
| Lady Olivia
|
(runs into one eye as her nightmare haunts her) You'll pay for using (jumps with her right foot in front) MY mother's likeness!
|
| (Lady Olivia kicks an eye, making her fake mom disappear. Three grubhogs come up to General Yunan; she swipes most of the eyes, making them disappear. Marcy runs to take out the eyes.)
|
| Marcy
|
What the? (stumbles on the ground and takes out eyes. The Anne-Sasha monster partially disappears. Yunan, Olivia, and Marcy take out most of the eyes) Whoo! (sees and points at the final eye) There's the last one!
|
| (Marcy sees Anne, Sasha, Lady Olivia's mother, and Grubhogs combined as a gigantic beast together.)
|
| General Yunan
|
Marcy, here! CATCH! (throws her crossbow to her)
|
| Marcy
|
That's what I'm talking about! (shoots the final eye, destroying the last of the projection. The whole room returns to normal and the three cheered.)

| Marcy
|
Woohoo!

| General Yunan
|
We did it! (spins Olivia around; puts her down) Ahem, I'm not normally one for teamwork, but uh, (raises her thumb) good job out there everyone. Very nice hustle.

| (Lady Olivia lightly punches General Yunan in the shoulder.)

| Lady Olivia
|
You goof.
|
| Marcy
|
We make a good team, huh. Now let's get out of here. (falls to the ground) Sorry. I might need help.
|
| (Lady Olivia and General Yunan carries her.)

| Lady Olivia
|
Alright. Up and at 'em. Here we-
|
| (King Andrias pushes the trio back in the room.)

| King Andrias
|
Leaving so soon? But we have so much to discuss!

| Lady Olivia
|
But how did you?
|
| King Andrias
|
Simple. We've been watching you the whole time. (His crown shines a red dot. A mysterious monster comes up to the trio and screeches at them)

| Marcy
|
What the heck is that? (the Monster takes out his tentacle and grabs Marcy by the face) AAAHHH! WHOA!

| Lady Olivia and General Yunan
|
MARCY!
|
| (A chair raises from the ground and the mysterious monster places Marcy in and straps her wrists and ankles.)
|
| King Andrias
|
Behold! Our ultimate creation. (Marcy struggles to get out) A collection of Amphibia's greatest minds, preserved for all eternity.
|
| Lady Olivia
|
What are you doing, Andrias?!
|
| General Yunan
|
Stop it, you maniac!
|
| King Andrias
|
Studying the Moss Man improved our medical technology. But it wasn't until we met the Shadowfish that we truly learn to conquer death. And thus, the Core was born.

| Marcy
|
(grunts and strains) Let me go!
|
| King Andrias
|
I wish I could. But my lord craves a host. And it wanted the best, the smartest, the only one who could beat me at Flipwart. (Marcy gasps) Honestly, Marcy, I like you. Always have. I begged the Core to consider an alternative host, but... alas.

| (Tubes are attached to Marcy's arms and legs.)

|
What...? What is this? Huh?
|
| (Marcy looks at an antlered helmet above her which lowers over her head, she groans and strains.)

| Lady Olivia
|
Marcy!

| General Yunan
|
No!
|
| (King Andrias looks away without a reaction. The helmet attaches to Marcy's head. After a few seconds she writhes in agony as the Core begins to take over and then screams as she is blasted with fiery red light. Binary code seeps up the tubes into her body as the Core's downloads its consciousness. Its eyes fade. Marcy's head droops. The body of the Core collapses to the floor.)

The time has finally come for the Core to lead us to our destiny. But what destiny you ask? Well, I suppose I should let it speak for itself.

| (Marcy's body jerks upright as crunching sounds are heard. Once she's straight, the Core's eyes open on her helmet.)

| Darcy
|
(robotic) Why, hello there.
|
| (The view fades to black around the Core's eyes, which fade away later.)
