The multiverse is a mysterious collective of several dimensions that are completely disconnected from one another. The only known way of travelling to other worlds is through the Guardian's powers, who's capable of creating powers. The three gems created by the Guardian are capable of doing the same.
History[]
It is unknown how the Multiverse came into existence, but it's supposed it was created by some unknown being, who is in charge of the Guardian, putting them in the job of watching over all worlds/dimensions.
The only known creature capable of travelling through worlds is the Guardian, it and its creations, can create portals to any dimension it wishes to go.

Trivia[]
- One of the worlds on the screens depicts the reality of Amphibia's sister show, The Owl House. This is among several hints provided in the series that suggest the two share the same multiverse.
- This would later be followed up in The Owl House's second season finale, "King's Tide", in which Camila Noceda reads a news article documenting Anne's disappearance.
- One world in the cosmic map, a world with a purple sea and red landmasses, shares its colors with those of the Demon Realm from The Owl House, implying it is the realm itself. In The Owl House's third season finale, "Watching and Dreaming", this is implied further as the Demon Realm seen from space is shown to be extremely similar to the purple and red world in Amphibia.
