Mire is a minor character in Amphibia. He is a tax collector from Toad Tower who comes to Wartwood for taxes with Bog and Fens. He became a bandit for months after the destruction of Toad Tower, until joining other toads back to Toad Tower with Bog as the new leader of both the tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison. Mire later joins the Wartwood Resistance following the invasion of Newtopia.
In the series' epilogue in "The Hardest Thing", Mire became part of "Bog & The Boys Moving & Junk Service".
Appearance[]
Mire is a large light green toad with armor like his fellow tax collectors. His face is hidden by a large frog-shaped helmet.
Behind the helmet's hatch, he has a small face with a pale green underbelly.
Personality[]
Mire is a silent warrior. He never speaks and only growls and breathes, which make him a very intimidating toad.
Despite his creepy appearance, Mire is actually very wimpy. For example, when the citizens of Wartwood stand up to the other tax collectors, Mire's helmet opens, and he lets out a squeal.
Background[]
In "Toad Tax", Mire is a tax collector from Toad Tower who comes to Wartwood for daily taxes with Bog and Fens, where they meet Anne, who joins up with them due to believing she'll finally get everyone's respect. Anne is creeped out by him, referring to him as the creepy one. After Mire and his group harass the frogs of Wartwood and are about to steal Bessie, Anne stands up to Bog and Fens and fights them off, scaring Mire. After finding the taxes Toadstool hid, they leave town and Fens asks if tthey should tell Grime about Anne.
In "Reunion", Mire takes part in the plan to trick Wartwood into going to Toad Tower. After the fall of the tower, he retreats with Grime, Sasha, and the rest of the Toads. However, at some point, he along with everyone else except Percy and Braddock leaves Grime and Sasha.
In "Toad to Redemption", he becomes a bandit for months after the destruction of Toad Tower. He and the remaining toad soldiers attack Wartwood, blaming the citizens for their troubles. They are once again beaten but soon join the other toads back to Toad Tower with Bog as the new leader of both the tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison.
