This is a list of all fauna that inhabit Amphibia.

Amphibia is host to larger variants of creatures found on Earth, including the eponymous amphibians.

Annelida (worms)[]

A few large and small worms have appeared, such as in "Trip to the Archives" and "Family Fishing Trip".

Arthropoda (bugs)[]

Arthropods make up most of the predominant wildlife in Amphibia, and come in multiple sizes and appearances. Despite this, some arthropods have appeared Earth-sized in almost every episode. Various orders have been seen or mentioned, such as fleas, silverfish, lice, millipedes, earwigs, etc.

Arachnida (spiders and scorpions)[]

Spiders have appeared, but most notably mentioned as Charlie Bigbottom and Archie.

Chilopoda (centipedes)[]

A few large and small centipedes have appeared, such as in "Family Fishing Trip".

Insecta (insects)[]

Several insects, large and small, inhabit Amphibia.

Blattodea (cockroaches and termites)[]

Although rarely appearing, cockroaches are most notably featured as the subject of Cockroach Racing in the Bizarre Bazaar.

Coleoptera (beetles)[]

Beetles are insects with an elytron (a thick wing covering). Several beetles have appeared; including fireflies and ladybirds. Examples include the ladybug mount owned by Sadie Croaker and Jeremy.

Dermaptera (earwigs)[]

Several earwigs have appeared, usually in various kitchens and stands as foodstuff.

Diptera (flies)[]

Several fly and fly-like insects have appeared. Amphibian flies have appearances analogous to birds and other animals.

Hemiptera (true bugs)[]

Several non-background hemipterans have appeared, including the water strider.

Hymenoptera (bees, wasps, hornets and ants)[]

Background ants have been seen in forests, kitchens, and stands; as well as bees and wasps. One notable example of the order are the giant wasps of the forests off of Wartwood Swamp.

Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths)[]

Usually in caterpillar form, several butterflies, and a few moths, have been displayed. Most notably the unnamed glowing butterflies.

Mantodea (Mantises)[]

Several mantises have appeared in the series, undoubtedly most notably in "Anne or Beast?".

Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies)[]

Odonatans appear frequently throughout the series, likely due to the connections often made between dragonflies and ponds, in which amphibians like frogs inhabit.

Orthoptera (crickets and grasshoppers)[]

Although in infrequent amounts, orthopterans appear in the series. Most notably in the form of the purple locust, appearing in the web game Locust Pocus.

Chordata[]

Amphibia (frogs, toads, newts)[]

Main article: Amphibian

Aves (birds)[]

Birds are classified by their wings, feathers, and reproduction via eggs. Like many real-life species in Amphibia, most species of bird are massive compared to their natural size, particularly those who naturally prey on frogs like heron and peacocks. Nonetheless some could be tamed as steads such as Joe Sparrow. Some birds from Earth's own mythologies live in Amphibia, such as the roc, though other unique species like the Love Doves exist. Interestingly, the giant rooster seen in the theme song and the similarly-designed Chicka-lisk have serrated teeth, scales, and narrow sclera, traits common to reptiles, perhaps referencing the common ancestry among the two classes.

Mammalia (mammals)[]

Few mammals live in Amphibia, although those that do are members of the real-life smaller species of mammal, such as Erinaceidae (hedgehogs) Mustelidae (weasels), Chiroptera (bats), and Talpidae (moles). While they never appear, rabbit skulls are seen in Wartwood Swamp, confirming the animal's existence.[1] Amphibian mammals reach sizes larger than humans, save for a bat that appeared in "Turning Point" that was the same size as one found on Earth. In addition, several arthropod species in Amphibia serve as an analog to mammalian species. Though not confirmed to be one truly, Harold the Mole's appendages resemble the star-nosed mole.

While humans do not exist in Amphibia, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy were transported to Amphibia via magical means.

Reptilia (reptiles)[]

Reptiles are classified by scales, cold blood, and reproduction via soft-shelled eggs. In Amphibia, reptiles are among the larger wildlife. Species of squamates (e.g. lizards and snakes), crocodilians (e.g. alligators), and testudines (e.g. turtles) have appeared thus far.

Fish[]

Several fish have been sighted in the series.

Mollusca (molluscs)[]

Cephalopoda (octopuses and squids)[]

Cephalopods briefly appear in the series, most notably the Kraken.

Gastropoda (slugs and snails)[]

Several slugs and snails have been featured, most notably Bessie.

Other[]

Aside from having gigantic versions of regular animals, Amphibia's biome has fantastical wildlife that do not have a strict equivalent to those from Earth and are apparently unique to the setting. Examples include the Narwhal Worm, and hybridized versions of Earth animals, which typically have a mammalian base but with arthropod traits, often they are more dangerous and aggressive than their Earth counterparts.
