The Drone Soldier was a lepidopteran prototype drone created by Bartley, Branson, and Blair and only appears in "Froggy Little Christmas". Remote-controlled by King Andrias, it fused with a giant Santa float to fight Anne and her friends on Earth.
Appearance[]
The Drone resembles a moth with red circuited wings and eyes with horizontal pupils. It had six neon green legs and leafy appendages on its head modeled after antennae. Its abdomen also contained a stinger-like blade for it to release nanobots from.
When it combined with the Santa float, the drone attached itself to the float's back by wrapping its legs around the float, while the float itself became desaturated to purple and green, with red glowing eyes and hexagonal circuit patterns across its body.
Personality[]
Since the Drone was operated by remote control, it had no identity of its own nor a mind of its own (not applicable).
Background[]
In "Froggy Little Christmas", the newt trio give the drone to Andrias as a Christmas gift, as they were dressed like elves in time for the Christmas holiday. Andrias was amazed, especially by all its cool gadgets, but had a very devious idea. Since Cloak-Bot failed to kill Anne Boonchuy, he decided he will destroy her virtually with the drone. Later, as Anne and the Plantars went to get supplies for the Christmas-Palooza Parade, the drone secretly enters Earth. But as the Drone arrives, Andrias observed the planet through the visor until it bumps into a flock of pigeons and it crashes into a billboard.
Later, when the parade is happening, Andrias finds Anne, and as he looks through the Drone, he starts to remember Christmas, then sees a big inflatable Santa, and had another devious idea. He used the Drone to take over the Santa and gives the Boonchuys and the Plantars a fright, but Ally and Jess were too amazed, only for them to be convinced by Polly to escape. Anne, the Plantars, and the Boonchuys threw stuff from their float at the Santa float, but it destroys some of the stuff and then threw a giant snowglobe back, only to get hit by a giant cookie thrown by Sprig and Polly. When Anne, the Plantars, her parents, Ally and Jess were caught in a dead end, the Santa float was about to destroy them until Anne and the Plantars fire a tree from their float, which impaled the Drone, and angered Andrias and caused him to destroy and blame the controller.
It's possible the Drone's remains were recovered, as the police were picking up the debris of the giant Santa. Mr. X later shows images of the Drone Soldier to his superior.
Powers and abilities[]
In its drone form, the Drone had the following abilities:
- Flight: The Drone is able to fly around due to either its 4 red wings or its 4 propellers while its weapons are out.
- Nanobots: The Drone carried miniature spider-like nanobots that it could inject into objects through a mounted stinger.
- Robotification: The nanobots could coalesce to form cybernetic structures and circuitry in order to mechanize what they inhabited, effectively turning the object into a weapon that served as an extension of the Drone itself.
- Missile launchers: The Drone is able to unleash two big missile launchers from its back.
- Machine guns: The Drone is able to unleash 2 machine guns from its underbelly.
- Flashlights: The Drone is able to unleash 2 large flashlights from its each of its sides.
After fusing with the Santa float, the robot displayed several Christmas-themed abilities:
- Laser eyes: The giant robot had laser eyes able to shoot powerful beams to destroy anything.
- Missile launchers: Like the Drone, the Santa robot had missile launchers from its shoulders but they were shaped like gifts.
- Energy shield: The Santa robot could summon a Christmas tree-like shield from its arm.
- Fire breath: The giant robot was able to breath a large green fire stream for both defense and attack.
- Laser gun: The robot had a big laser gun inside its mouth intended to use it to obliterate Anne and her whole family.
