Dr. P's Extraordinary Guide To Magic & Mystery is a book that Marcy found in a public library in Los Angeles on Earth, in the first scenes of the episode "True Colors". The book even has some details of the Calamity Box (include the Calamity Gems), such as a caption that reads "Travel to other worlds".
