Bog is a recurring character in Amphibia. He was a greedy, yet skilled, tax collector from Toad Tower, who came to Wartwood for monthly taxes with Fens and Mire. He became a bandit for months after the destruction of Toad Tower in the season 1 finale "Reunion". He was later appointed by Jacinda, a Newtopian noble, as the new leader of both Toad Tower and the Toad Army. Bog later joins the Wartwood Resistance following the invasion of Newtopia.
In the series' epilogue, Bog became part of "Bog & The Boys Moving & Junk Service".
Appearance[]
Bog is a large toad with red skin and an orange, lighter underbelly. He has a crest of horn-like protrusions on the top of his head. He, like his comrades, wears metal armor with leather pauldrons and a silver "Amphibia" emblem across his right shoulder.
Background[]
Season 1[]
In "Toad Tax", Bog was a tax collector from Toad Tower who came to Wartwood for daily taxes with Bog and Mire, where they met Anne, who joins up with them due to believing she'll finally get everyone's respect. He was very dismissive towards Sprig referring to him as a runt. While Bog and his group harassed the Frogs of Wartwood, Anne was having second thoughts about him. When they head to the Plantar farm, Anne tries to tell Bog that Hop Pop did pay his taxes, however Bog wasn't having it. He orders his troops to steal Bessie, but Anne stands up to him and tries to fight him off. Bog and Fens seriously hurt Anne and were about to deliver a fatal blow just as Sprig arrives, telling them that Toadstool hid the taxes. Before leaving town, Bog tells Anne she lost his respect, and the townsfolk tell him she doesn't need his. While leaving, Fens asks if they tell Grime about Anne.
In "Reunion", Bog takes part in the plan to trick Wartwood into going to Toad Tower. After the fall of the tower, he retreats with Grime, Sasha and the rest of the Toads. However, at some point, he along with everyone else except Percy and Braddock left Grime and Sasha.
Season 2[]
By "Toad to Redemption", Bog became a bandit for months after the destruction of Toad Tower. He and the remaining toad soldiers attack Wartwood, blaming them for their troubles. They were once again beaten, but soon joined the other toads back to Toad Tower with himself as the new leader of both the tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison.
Season 3[]
On the night Andrias was set to invade Earth, the Wartwood Resistance fought his forces outside with Newtopia, where Bog, Fens, and Mire are shown to have allied with the resistance to free Amphibia from Andrias' tyranny.
