Bartley, Branson, and Blair are minor characters of Amphibia. They are a trio of newts living in Newtopia, who Marcy nicknames "Triple B". They are some of the palace's top analysts who willingly worked for King Andrias during his attempted conquest of Earth, starting in Los Angeles, California.
They made an appearance in the flashforward of "The Hardest Thing", where they are seen in chains with Andrias, helping the former king farm. As they were loyal to the king, they were exiled from Amphibia and forced to help Andrias restore the land destroyed by him. They could also be serving as guards or watchmen for Andrias since they are standing off to the side and not seen actually working and not fully chained up like the former king.
Appearance[]
The trio are newts with an appearance identical to each other in that they each wear the same black robes and glasses. They have different skin colors to tell them apart.
Bartley is purple, has dark purple eyebrows, and a light purple underbelly.
Branson is blue, has teal eyebrows, and a light blue underbelly.
Blair is tan, has brown eyebrows, and a pink underbelly.
Personality[]
Bartley, Branson, and Blair are all intelligent and sometimes have different ideas on how to find a solution to a problem. Bartley and Branson often tend to gang up on Blair and tell him to shut up whenever he says something the two don't approve of. Like other Newtopians of high status such as Lady Olivia, they hold Marcy in high regards and treat her with the upmost respect. They seem to hold prejudice towards frogs, believing they are "beneath them", as demonstrated when they called the Plantar family "dirty peasants". They serve as dutiful lackeys toward Andrias, their opinion of him unchanging when he reveals his malicious intent.
Background[]
Bartley, Branson, and Blair were newts who served King Andrias as analysts. They were given the nickname "Triple B" by Marcy Wu during her arrival in Amphibia.
In "Marcy at the Gates", when Newtopia is under attack by Barbari-Ants, the three argue over a plan on how to stop the them until Marcy enters the tent with Anne and the Plantar family with a plan on how to stop them. Hop Pop asks if they were coming, but they tell him they don't do field work.
During King Andrias' campaign to take over other worlds, Triple B are among the few newts who are still loyal to the king and would help him take over Earth and other worlds.
In "Froggy Little Christmas", they inform Andrias the Frobot army is ready until Andrias notices they are dressed as elves because it is the human holiday known as Christmas that Marcy told them about. The trio provides Andrias with a present which is a drone Soldier that resembles a dragonfly. Andrias intends to use the drone to destroy Anne and uses Triple B as target practice. Triple B is lying on the floor as Andrias' control drone arrives on Earth until it crashes into a billboard after being hit by a flow of pigeons. One of them gives Andrias a drink to cool off.
After Anne destroys the drone, Triple B exits the throne room as King Andrias destroys the controller in a fit of rage.
In "The Hardest Thing", nine months after the Core was destroyed and Anne, Sasha, and Marcy return to Earth, Triple B is arrested along with Andrias and others who were both still loyal and joining Andrias for their crimes against Amphibia, and sentenced to restoring the land that was destroyed. They are seen standing next to Andrias while watching him plant with chains around their necks.

- Drawn in military uniforms, Bartley, Branson, and Blair were going to appear on the cover of "Military Codes Made Easy!" as part of a series of cancelled running jokes for "The Beginning of the End".[1]
- In Marcy Theme Song Takeover, Marcy is shown playing Dungeons & Dragons with Bartley, Branson, and Blair. This may be a reference to the fact that their voice actor Sam Riegel is well known as a core cast member of the D&D show Critical Role.
