Dialogue

(The episode begins in a place in a forest, where the Plantars are setting up camp.)
[''humming'']
Hop Pop
Okay, dinner's ready. (carrying a covered tray to Anne, Polly and Sprig)
Anne
Whoo-hoo!
Polly
Yeah!
Sprig
I'm starving.
Hop Pop
Now hold onto your butts. (takes off the lid) Bam! Stick surprise!
Anne, Sprig & Polly
(sigh)
Sprig
Hop Pop, this isn't food.
Hop Pop
But I didn't tell you what the surprise is.
Anne, Sprig & Polly

Hop Pop
All right, there's no surprise.
All

(groan)
Hop Pop
Sorry, kids. This journey's been longer than expected, and we're out of food.
Polly
No food, huh? (takes out a biscuit from her bow) That's what you plebes think. (takes a bite of the biscuit and puts it back in her bow)
Anne
(grunts) This is all my fault. I dragged you guys out here to figure out how to get me home, and now we're all gonna starve to death.
Sprig, Polly & Hop Pop
(laughing)
Sprig
We're not gonna starve to death. This is our chance to find food the way nature intended... as hunters.
Anne
(touching her chin) Hunters, eh?
(Anne imagines herself as a hunter running through the forest. She stops and spots a roasted chicken running.)

(Anne finishes her fantasy.)
Anne
(chuckling) Guys, leave the hunting to me.
Hop Pop
Wha?
Sprig
Wha?
Polly
That came out of nowhere.
Anne
You guys do so much for me. Let me do something for you for a change.
Sprig
Ooh! I can teach her to hunt the Plantar way, Hop Pop. Just like you taught me.
Hop Pop
Hmm, okay, but you two need to be careful. We're not in the valley anymore. Who knows what dangerous predators could be lurking about? They could be poisonous or they could be psychic. They could be poisonous and psychic. You don't know!
Sprig
Whoa! Whoa! Hop Pop, it's fine. Anne, you ready to hunt?
Anne
I'm so pumped. This is gonna be awesome.
(The scene is cut to Anne with her head in mud.)
Anne
This is not awesome.
(Sprig is seen tasting the mud.)
Sprig
*munching*
Anne
Ugh! I thought hunting was supposed to be cool. Conquering nature and stuff. Not eating mud.
Sprig
*munches, spits* Conquering nature? Oh, no, no. Hunting is about becoming one with nature.
Anne
What? Uh, do I at least get a cool weapon? A crossbow? Kunai? A crossbow that shoots kunai?
Sprig
Weapons are for barbarians. (Anne frowns at this.) Now then, hunting the Plantar way involves three main steps. The first, track your prey. (grabs a bit of mud with his hand) The soil is a buffet of clues. (eats the mud) Oh, oh! I think I'm getting something. This way.
(Sprig walks through the forest eating things.)
Sprig
Ha! Mmm. Blap. Mmm. Mmm. (he suddenly sees something moving in a bush and a worm comes out of it.)
Worm
*squeals, snorts*
Sprig
See, Anne? Nature provides. We found some grubbles. They're supposed to be delicious. Step two, use your surroundings. Hmm.
(Sprig digs a hole next to the bush, then removes some bark from a tree and puts it in the hole.)
Sprig
Perfect. And now it's time for the final and most important step... the dance.
Anne
Dance? What do you mean da... (looks at Sprig dancing) Oh, my gosh. (covers her eyes) You gotta be kidding me.
Sprig
(continues dancing) This dance has been in our family for generations. Watch me closely. It's designed to both entice and disorient.
(Some worms come out of the bush and get thrown into the hole that Sprig fitted.)
(Sprig continues to dance as worms continue to come out of the bush.)
Sprig
*grunting*
Anne
Oh, boy. Okay, that's enough. I think I can hunt just fine without a funny little dance.
Sprig
There's nothing funny about the sacred Plantar hunting dance, Anne. Besides, I thought you loved dancing.
Anne
Well, yeah, when there's music and a dance floor. I mean, is this even necessary? These little guys seem pretty easy to catch. I don't even think they have brains.
Grubble
*squeals*
Sprig
Not all prey will be as easy as grubbles. But that's not the point. Hunting is about connecting to the harmony of nature. Let its rhythm flow through you. Can you hear the drums, Anne? Can you hear them playing the beat of the hunt?
Anne
No. Now let's split up and catch double the grubble. Don't worry about me. I've got the eyes of a hawk.
Sprig
Anne! (grabs Anne from her shirt, stopping her before she falls into an abyss)
Anne
Totally saw that.
Sprig
*sighs* All right. Just be careful, okay? We still don't know what's out here.

(Later, Anne is seen by the side of the bush, the worms are still coming out of it.)
Anne
*chuckles* "The dance, Anne." Ha!
*squeals*
Anne
You know what's better than a ridiculous dance? A stick. Time for some grubble satay. (holds the stick with the purpose of hitting the worms)
