In my opinion, the main trio works well as is, but after re-watching the series recently (because I had nothing to do... 😅), I wondered what a hypothetical fourth member for the trio might be like. I imagine a character who is a sort of rival for Marcy (like Sasha was for Anne in the first season): almost as smart as her, but unlike her, sarcastic, arrogant and vain. He describes himself as the smartest person in school, and he despises and makes fun of others (especially Anne, who he considers the dumbest person he has ever met), but he has respect for Marcy, who he considers the real smartest student (after him, of course).

But I would also like to know your opinion: in your opinion, what would a new member of the trio be like? What characteristics do you think would integrate better with the group and what dynamics could it create? Or do you think that the Calamity Trio is perfect as it is, without the need for additions?

Well, this is my first post. Okay. You know? The two of them had similar with three characters, one story, one goal, and each of them have difference every way.

GTA V is following story about three characters with two of them are robbery, and one of them are gangstar. The goal for three of them is trying to solved in different way and finding themselves to who responsible for this madness.

Amphibia, on the other hand is different, where the story was quite different with the same premise and same goal. Three characters are trapped in the World of Amphibia, where the world are full of frogs and lizard, thought it was friendly and enemies in different kinds way. On the other hand, i liked this concept, it's reminds me of GTA V, where three characters can be working together to fight against enemies.

I think to say that GTA V and Amphibia is different theme; GTA V was M rating games, while Amphibia was a kids show.

That's i want to compare between this game and the show.

I know it seems like a stupid question (and maybe it is...), but I think names are important in a story and should have at least some meaningful significance. While it's relatively straightforward to understand why other characters have certain names: Polly could be a common name derived from "pollywog" (or "polliwog"), a colloquial term mostly used in American English meaning tadpole (appropriate since Polly spends most of the series as one); Hop Pop is a combination of two words, Hop (I don't think it needs further explanation) and Pop (an informal and affectionate term that can be used as a diminutive for both "Dad" and "Grandpa"; it is not a formal term, but it is often used in family contexts to refer to a father or grandfather affectionately); Grime is a synonym for "dirt" or "filth," words sometimes used to describe something or someone rough or brutal, and Grime has proven to be both rough and brutal throughout the series; finally, the surname of King Andrias, "Leviathan," is often used to describe tyrannical or brutal rulers, like Nicholas I of Russia (due to his authoritarian and repressive regime, characterized by strong censorship and strict control over Russian society) and Louis XIV of France (due to his absolutist policies and centralized government, in which he held almost complete control over French institutions and political life). Andrias is one of the main antagonists in the series, so it seems fitting.

I haven't been able to understand the meaning of the names of the three protagonists. I checked online, and it appears that they are derived from important figures in Matt Braly's life (the creator of the series): Anne was the name of his grandmother, while Sasha and Marcy were names of some of his childhood friends. However, I'm not 100% sure about this, as it was the only source mentioning this information. Do you think they have a meaning, or are they just random?

I miss the show

So I know Marcy had to go to the hospital after returning in Amphibia, but I can't help but wonder if she spend most of her remaining weeks in LA or only stayed for only a few days. I mean it's not like she needed any surgery since her scar was healed nicely, though she needed her blood to return to normal and she might be a little weakened from both being in the core and using her powers.

Also, technically the journal never said that Marcy spent most of her remaining weeks in LA at the hospital. I like to think she only stayed for just a couple day. Plus, she's been cooped in a small room long enough. What do you think?

So I watch amphibia for the 3 time I just read marcey journaled I love how it was focused on here and there was hotty on the vending machine and I can't wait for the art of amphibia to come out on Nov 27 so I love Anne and I relate to here so much when I change my name I am going to change it to Anne with my trashing yes I am trans but who cares no one but me

1 week to go for the last anniversary.

I’ve noticed that there’s been some dispute over the pronouns of the character Terri and I’m here to say what I think.

First of all, the arguments seem to talk about two examples: The she/her pronouns used in the show, and the they/them pronouns used in Marcy’s Journal.

I’m proposing one simple solution: What if they just use she/they pronouns?

People in real life use multiple sets of pronouns, and both may have been used for Terri, with Marcy using they/them in her journal and characters using she/her throughout the episodes.

It’s gotten to the point where the article avoids pronouns entirely for Terri, and at this point, I just wanted to state my stance on things. I do not think in the slightest that Terri is cisgender, and we don’t quite know what gender she is, but we do know their pronouns, and that’s a start.
