Amphibia Discussion
So I’m planning on making a YouTube video around the 5th Anniversary of True Colors, because I’ve held this opinion for a year and feel very uncomfortable since I have felt like no one agrees with me on this but I don’t think Sasha wanted to never go back home or let her friends go home without her for good, though I also don’t think she wanted to live a normal life like how Anne wanted in true colors. I have 5 reasons to prove my point:
Sasha’s parents are divorced and she may not have a great relationship but they don’t prevent her from seeing her friends at least she thinks. Marcy thinks her parents are trying to separate her from her friends, thus meaning if she would have it harder mentally if she went back home, unlike Sasha.
Sasha never said anything about staying in Amphibia forever and that’s probably because she isn’t someone that thinks in the longterm and at that moment she probably didn’t have a clear future mapped out for herself when she took power other than "get friendship back in line" and "power yay". All she said was how she was going to stay and help Grime but a stay doesn’t mean forever. Granted that still is a weakness she has. Marcy on the other hand did have a clear future mapped out.
If Anne and Marcy went home without Sasha so she could rule Newtopia (Let’s pretend Anne did not snap and Marcy wasn’t going to move out) she probably try and Visit Anne and Marcy on earth since they are just as much of her friends as Grime is to her. At worst she would definitely try to go back to earth to see her friends and that she would just have the box so she can go to earth whenever she wanted.
At the end of her first episode “Prison Break” Sasha says “And when I find you, we're gonna get home. But first, I think we're gonna have some fun with this place.” So I can kind of see how Sasha is being a woman of her word by saying we can go home but first can we have some fun (as in being treated like royalty). After all, she did come full circle before true colors where she found Anne then decided to rule a kingdom then reunited with Marcy and Anne (Again) but was also in turmoil on what to do. So I kind of saw it as that she was not in a rush to go home, and wanted to have fun first.
When Marcy revealed her true intentions with the music box, Sasha was the only person to get angry at her for what she did well Anne was very upset and disappointed with her. While many people think that Sasha was upset with her for putting her in danger when she first came to Amphibia. I feel like it’s a mixture of that and also that she misses her life on earth too. Just because she doesn’t like the idea of going back to school or being with her parents that she doesn’t have a strong relationship with doesn’t mean she hates everything about Earth. So I see it as a way to avoid responsibility, but also enjoy everything she enjoys whether it be on earth or Amphibia. If she was OK with abandoning earth, then she wouldn’t have been furious at Marcy like Anne.
Let me know what you all think of this and if you agree with me that she was not going to initially never go home like Marcy.
Are you still re-watching this cartoon, or not? How is your life going, guys?
Have you read the Amphibia vol.2 by Dr.Nique, Marcy's Journal, or The Art of Amphibia?

Hi! I'm BGDW (she/they). I've made a couple posts on here before, but I haven't been able to watch the show... until now :D
This is only after watching Anne or Beast?, I'm not including Best Fronds in this.
Here are my thoughts!
I like the plot, I'm very interested to see what the box is and why Anne's here!
The animation is really cool, I like how expressive all the characters are! I also like the designs of all the frogs.
Appreciation for the "leaves in brown hair" trope!!
The characters themselves are really fun!
Anne seems interesting, I guess she'll be the main character. She also probably has issues.
Sprig seems fun! I also think he'll be a main character maybe? He seems like a fun little guy.
Hop Pop (am I spelling that right?) seems like the stereotypical "old lovable parental figure" trope but I do like how he's not made out to be always upbeat and he seems actually realistically sleepy if that makes sense.
Polly is a goofy goober and I love her already. She's super expressive and she's fun to watch, I like her character the most and I think she's awesome!
Anyway, thanks for listening to what I thought! Have a good day/night pals!
I looked at Anne's birth date, and apparently it was sometime in 2006. And the epilogue takes place on her 23rd birthday, so does it take place in 2029 or something? I could be wrong but it seems like it does
Oh my goodness.
That was SO GOOD!
The calamity trio scene was so epic, and I like Anne and Sprig's friendship, so I was crushed to see Sprig cry when Anne went home...
The show definitely looks like something worth rewatching, I give it a 100/10!
I am on episode 9 currently and it’s mostly character development, establishing character dynamics, and introducing the the frog world. When would you say we get conflicting or start trying to get Anne home?
I felt like there was a forgotten character in Amphibia. What's your opinion on who it is?
9 /10 This series was overdue for a review 😭
Plot: Anne Boonchuy gets transported to the world of Amphibia where she tries to find a way back home.
Positives:
1. The animation is great, it’s smooth, unique, and pleasant to look at.
2. I enjoyed a majority of the characters, Anne, Sprig, Hop Pop, Marcy, King Andrias, and One-Eyed Wally being a few favorites of mine.
3. The story is amazing, Season 2 is my favorite specifically because of the lore we’re introduced to such as Anne and Marcy's friendship with Sasha and King Andrias' reveal as the villain.
4. The finales were epic, Season 2’s “True Colors” is genuinely a phenomenal episode that had me shaken the first time I watched it, and the series finale was just perfect, everything from the tone, animation, and character development.
5. The voice acting was good, and Brenda Song’s performance as Anne was outstanding, she had great chemistry with the others and excellent comedic timing.
6. There were many heartwarming moments throughout the series, mainly in Season 3 such as Anne reuniting with her parents and Sprig and Anne’s final encounter.
Negative:
1. The first season was pretty meh compared to others, if there’s one thing I can give this season the final was incredible and got me hooked on the show.
Overall, I love Amphibia. I was skeptical of the series at first but watching many episodes from Season 2 helped me understand the show better. It had a good run with many epic finales that never failed to disappoint. I recommend watching this if you want a good serialized story and a unique concept.
Amphibia is shown to be populated by frogs, newts, toads, and axolotls, as well as olms in Proteus, but in real life, there are several other amphibians, including sirens, caecilians, and salamanders. Do you think these could also be in Amphibia but just weren't shown in the series?
I just watched the whole series, and it felt so quick. I just wishes there something more
And even more time, month-wise, than the amount of time that has passed between the premiere and finale.
How time flies.

Now that it's announced does anyone have any ideas on when it's coming out I'm hoping something like late 2025 or early 2026.
But what about you guys share your thoughts in the comments?
