It would have failed anyway. Los Angeles was devastated in that attack. Buildings collapsed. The city burned. Mt. Lee was destroyed. Thousands died. There's thousands of hours of local and international news coverage. Likely there's thousands of hours of cell phone video that was recorded by Los Angeles citizens that was all uploaded to the internet. There's no way an event with that big of a footprint can be kept a secret.
So headcanon away.
Not likely. Marcy's Journal states that Mr. X tried to cover the whole thing up as a Hollywood movie shoot gone horribly wrong. The news report at the airport when Marcy landed stated that a lot of people believe Frog-vasion was a hoax.
Given Disney's tendency to reopen successful franchises and milk more money out of them (Phineas and Ferb), I imagine they wanted to leave the door open to a possible revival of Amphibia if the finances are right.
Anne. She's dead.
Anne is the overarching protagonist as she is the POV character but both Marcy and Sasha play important roles in the narrative.
Initially she was a prisoner of the toads who proved herself useful when she demonstrated her combat abilities against the herons. Grime took her under his wing and made her his second-in-command. Since she didn't know any better she worked with the toads as an enforcer. Once she reunited with Anne she tried to reestablish their old relationship but Anne had changed and wouldn't go back thus pitting them against each other until True Colors.
That I'm going for.
Becoming a licensed psychologist in the state of California is brutal. I doubt there are any shortcuts. Especially since she specializes in child psychology. Likely as not she's working through those supervised hours of practice as she completes the other steps towards getting her license to practice. At 23 years old with a five month gap in her education she's likely finishing up her doctorate.
Edit: My assessment of a five month gap in Sasha's education is incorrect. Anne came back from Amphibia after five months but Sasha and Marcy didn't. The wiki timeline had them all in Amphibia for approximately one year. Sasha, Marcy and likely Anne would have had to make up a year in their respective educations once they returned to earth.
Not likely given she's only 23 years old. Given the requirements for receiving a license Sasha is still in the process. Remember also that there's a five month gap in her education she had to make up first. She would have had to gone at this full time in order to get as far as she has. She's still got a way to go to full licensure.
I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. King's Tide was just The Owl House version of True Colors.
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then Matt Braly should feel very flattered right now.
You follow me around the wikis like I owe you money and take potshots at me. If you have a problem take it to my wall and we'll have it out there. If you continue what you're doing you're going to attract the attention of the mods. I'll make sure of it. You're skirting very close to the rules regarding civility in these fora.
Speak for yourself. The post wasn't ruined for everyone. Just you. "Everyone" doesn't share your obsession with me.
When your only tool is a hammer every problem looks like a nail.
When your only reference point is shipping every character interaction is either romantic, erotic or both.
Shippers didn't create Lumity but they turned it into a monster that killed Amity Blight and turned The Owl House into a shadow of what it could have been.
That you didn't hear about it doesn't invalidate its occurrence.
If it's only in your head it's not canon. It's just crap someone made up. Calling it headcanon is an attempt to give fanon and make believe an air of validity they do not actually possess.
No. Marcy's Journal shows that Sasha put Marcy up during her stay in LA. This is a common occurrence between friends. Besides people were shipping the Calamity Trio long before Marcy's Journal was released. Shipper do not require provocation to ship two or more characters.
The problem wasn't fandom shipping the Calamity Trio. The problem was fandom demanding that Matt Braly make those ships canon.
I have no problem with headcanons so long as they stay inside your head. Why are they even called headcanons anyway? There's nothing canon about them. This is a new term being applied to something fans have been doing for a long time.
Before making crap up was called headcanon it was called fanon and before that make believe. There was nothing intrinsically problematic about fans sitting around making up alternative takes on popular works and characters. Just look at Sherlock Holmes. He's probably been through more reinterpretations than any other character in fiction. Not just by fans either. Professionals have produced works reinterpreting him in books like The Seven Percent Solution where Holmes is psychoanalyzed by Sigmund Freud. TV shows like Sherlock and Elementary which transports Holmes and Watson to the modern age. Movies like the series of films starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce which had him fighting Nazis in WWII among other things.
When the advent of the internet gave fans access to creators they started pressuring those creators to make their headcanon official canon. Just look at the discourse around the Disney film, Luca.
Sprig and Ivy were signaled to be a couple the instant Ivy was introduced. The shippers had nothing to do with that. They were also shipping Sprig with Maddie and even with Anne.
While it's rewarding to know that Marcy got the therapy she needed I'm curious as to how she found a therapist and how those early sessions went.
Therapists are trained in the mental concerns of humans living on earth. Such concerns as grief, trauma, abuse, recovery from criminal assault, etc. How would a therapist deal with the concerns that put Marcy on the couch?
