Back when Amphibia first came out, I was watching it when my father saw me watching one the more random episodes (Civil Wart). He jumped to immediate conclusions that it would be like Gumball and told me not to watch it. Reason being that he doesn’t like random shows with no story. Little does he know it’s chock full of story. I stopped watching at his command but years later when the first five episodes of season 3 were put on Disney+, I saw the descriptions and got curious, so I watched season 3 at my cousin’s house, and boy was I not prepared. It was so good (and kinda ruined True Colors ending for me) a few weeks later I came over to watch the rest of the show, and halfway through The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers before I had to leave. I got impatient and watched the rest on my own time at my house, in secret. I’ve been secretly obsessed since. I would stop, but it is such a good show and my father might let me watch it if he saw the story elements, but I dunno. Jeez, that felt good.
