Mikey clearing out the dojo by removing the mannequins (destroyed and whole alike) was the first thing Wynter saw when she walked in. He planned to have everyone watch how far he’d come in his training with Draxum.
“Hey, man,” she said around a mouthful of leftovers. “You sure this isn’t gonna turn out a disaster?”
“When have I ever messed up training?” he asked innocently. Wynter gave him a skeptical look and he quickly retracted. “Anyway, I’m not gonna mess up because I have all of you guys to make sure I don’t!”
“And who’s going to be the most helpful if it does end up a mess?”
“Uhhhh… You?”
“Leo, duh.” Wynter flicked a bit of food at him. “But thank you.” Mikey gave her a thumbs up before standing to admire his work.
“Whoooaa, looks clean in here hermanito!” Leo’s obnoxiously familiar voice appeared next to Wynter, almost making her jump. He ventured forward and put a hand over his brother’s shoulders.
“I’ll get everyone else then,” Wynter called as she walked away. To her luck, Donnie and Raph were in the kitchen fighting over some food and Iris was in their room. Wynter practically had to drag her twin from her bed, even if she was trailing along a blanket.
“Maybe we should ask Draxum how it goes?” Raph’s voice came from the dojo as they neared.
“No!” Mikey said, a little too quickly for Wynter’s liking. “He uhh wouldn’t want to be bothered with something I totally know.” Raph shrugged and allowed Mikey to have the chalk back. They were nearly done with the runes for a simple portal. Iris kindly picked up her blanket as she walked over it to the other side of the room, careful not to ruin the magic symbols.
Oh he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Great. And Draxum probably told him not to do this.
Wynter sat down next to Donnie and Iris as Raph chose to sit by the closest exit. Leo stayed near the youngest, prepared for anything that would most definitely go wrong. Mikey quickly chose a random rune to draw in the last empty space before taking his spot at the front of the rune circle.
Mikey took a steadying breath and focused. The circle began glowing, softly at first and gradually becoming brighter. The light disappeared and everyone looked around confused. Suddenly, a flash blinded all six mutants followed by a rush of air. When Wynter opened her eyes, she was laying face up on muddy ground.
Where am I? Where’s everybody else?
In which Mikey’s mystic messed up and portaled everyone to different dimensions.
