I mean, 3A, in my opinion, was the weakest point for Amphibia, simply because it avoided the obvious that was going on in Amphibia. The earth episodes were cute, but there were too many loose ends to fully enjoy it. If Anne had just addressed the problem of her FREAKING FRIEND’S DEATH onscreen, it would’ve improved the plot. Hopefully, Anne’s “angst” in the journal will provide us with a little more plot to 3A and maybe change the perspective some fans have of it.

While it was good that she was concerned about getting the Plantars home, I wondered why she was more worried about a family she's known for a few months than a friend she's known most of her life. She likely suppressed her feelings about Marcy's stabbing during 3A, and now we get to know what was going on in her head.
